Camilla brings insights from her long legal career involving complex and emotionally difficult cases and combines this with in-depth knowledge of trauma theory to deliver a unique method of training and resources.

Camilla Wells

Camilla developed this niche area of support, after practicing in family law and crime for 22 years. She enjoyed the rigours of the Bar and brings many of the skills she developed as a successful advocate dealing with highly sensitive, complex cases with a very pressured work load. Camilla began to wonder about the impact upon her of the day to day exposure to abuse, violence, mental illness and heightened emotions. She looked for resources to help her but found nothing. Camilla embarked on studies of trauma theory and undertook extensive training, including at the Tavistock Institute. She collaborated with trauma experts in creating resources and training.

Camilla founded Catch Yourself to equip individuals and organisations to manage distressing, complex and sensitive areas of work safely without impacting their health.

Camilla now offers training and coaching to a growing number of organisations and individuals in a number of industries including law, television, education and social care to develop awareness and protection against exposure to distressing material and trauma.
